Extraction of proteins

Figure : Biotin-functionalized Turbobeads were conjugated to streptavidin-pseudotyped lentiviral particles which enables the targeted transduction of HEK293-T cells by a magnetic field. In the experimental setup 106 HEK293-T cells were exposed to 125 mg of the construct shown left. The cell plates were placed on a magnet resulting in localized transduction. Quantitative FACS analysis of cells transduced by TurboBead-conjugated EGFP-encoding lentiviral particles revealed a binding capacity of 1.4E5 transducing units per mg of TurboBeads (Weber W. et al., link)
