TurboBeads provides engineered magnetic nanobeads coupling kits for the immobilization of biomolecules such as antibodies, oligos and peptides.

Biotin-functionalized Turbobeads were conjugated to streptavidin-pseudotyped lentiviral particles which enables the targeted transduction of HEK293-T cells by a magnetic field. In the experimental setup 106 HEK293-T cells were exposed to 125 μg of the construct shown left. The cell plates were placed on a magnet resulting in localized transduction.
Quantitative FACS analysis of cells transduced by TurboBead-conjugated EGFPencoding lentiviral particles revealed a binding capacity of 1.4 105  transducing units per mg of TurboBeads (Weber W. et al., J. Biotechnol. (2009), doi:10.1016/j.jbiotec.2009.02.023).
